Using Prebuilt Graphics From Palettes
You don't have to construct every shape or graphic yourself -- you can also add graphics to a document by dragging and dropping them from a palette. OmniGraffle comes with five palettes full of useful shapes and more complex graphic elements, and you can also create your own palettes.

To show a palette, choose it from the ToolsPalettes menu or click on the button for that palette on the palette viewer toolbar.

To use the graphics on a palette, drag them into your document. You can then manipulate them the same as you would any graphics created with the drawing tools.
